Missouri Department of Conservation to Present at NSBA May Luncheon in North Springfield

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The North Springfield Betterment Association (NSBA) will host Marty M. Marsh of the Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) as the featured speaker at its monthly luncheon on May 14. The event will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Elevate Lives, located at 1100 E. Kearney St.

Marsh serves as Education District Supervisor for MDC’s 17-county Southwest Region, where he works with school leaders and educators to integrate conservation-based learning into classrooms. His work includes promoting programs such as Discover Nature Schools, hunter education, and the Missouri National Archery in the Schools Program.

Marsh will be joined by additional MDC team members to provide an overview of conservation programs and discuss how these initiatives support students, schools, and the broader community in southwest Missouri.

The luncheon will also highlight NSBA’s ongoing partnership with Elevate Lives. Following the program, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in guided tours of the facility. NSBA is encouraging attendees to bring non-perishable protein items, such as canned tuna, chicken, or chili, to support local needs.

Lunch is available for $20, and the program is free and open to the public. Networking begins at 11:30 a.m., with lunch service at 11:45 a.m. and the program starting at noon.
