On October 12, 2013, NSBA members came together to enhance the traffic islands at the intersection of Kearney and Glenstone with fresh greenery, marking the beginning of an ongoing beautification effort. As part of Historic Route 66, this intersection serves as a prominent entrance to our city’s north side. A dedicated committee, led by Scott Buckman and Rick Fay, works diligently several times a year to prune, clean, and plant, ensuring the islands remain a welcoming gateway. This ongoing care reflects NSBA's commitment to preserving and enhancing our community for all to enjoy.
